Don’t Ban Pride, Oppose House Bill 245

Drag performances are not inherently adult content. This bill, plain and simple, is about banning pride. Per Stonewall Columbus: “It directly aims to attack identities we must keep visibly at the forefront of our Pride because it is these identities that have always been the most under attack.” Wasting the people’s time placing drag in the same category as topless bars is an unacceptable government overreach. We have several active crises with broad impact in this state; perhaps the State House might pretend to govern instead of whatever HB 245 is.
