Trump recently announced that he would give Argentina $20 billion in “aid” that would go to that country’s political and social elites. He then backtracked on this promise of a financial bailout, saying that the aid would be granted only if Trump’s preferred candidate wins in Argentina’s upcoming presidential election. Trump no longer even tries to hide his corruption. Using US taxpayer dollars to advance the political fortunes of Trump’s personal favorite in Argentina’s presidential race is corruption—plain and simple, not to mention “fraud, waste, and abuse.” Every member of Congress must protest this grotesque misuse of taxpayer money.
