Fracking CEO Chris Wright donated over $450k to Trump's re-election campaign. Now Trump is nominating him to be Energy Secretary of the US. Wright has said openly that he wants to strangle clean energy job growth and deregulate his own industry so that oil and gas billionaires can keep burning our planet for profit. Wright has said that “any negative impacts from climate change were clearly overwhelmed by the benefits of increasing energy consumption.” He believes that climate apocalypse is an acceptable price to pay for the fossil fuel consumption that makes him rich.
