Stop the Cruel, Racist and Sloppy Enforcement of Immigration

I am profoundly disturbed by the mismanagement of ICE, CBP and other law enforcement conducting immigration raids. Besides being conducted in arguably illegal and unconstitutional ways (no warrants, on the basis of skin tone, etc.) the record keeping is sloppy or nonexistent. People get picked up and then lost. Their families, friends and lawyers can’t find them! This is also happening to CHILDREN. Imagine your child lost and the officials who are responsible won’t say where he is! This is absolutely unacceptable for our great nation to be operating this way. Congress must open investigations immediately! People need to be tracked in our systems. They also need to have due process and to be held in humane conditions. Children need to stay with their parents. Children should not appear in immigration court alone and without representation. Our agencies need to do the hard work of investigating people who wish to do us harm and locate them and deport them. They shouldn’t be snatching up law abiding immigrants from Home Depot and from immigration hearings. That just rips our communities apart and is no protection from the real evil doers. Also, give people back their belongings when you release them. There are reports that bagged and tagged personal property is not being returned. People are entitled to the return of their cash, jewelry, passports, etc. Our executive branch is doing a terrible job of managing immigration. It’s sloppy, cruel and racist. We the American people will not stand for it!
