Trump said that Orbán simply says, “‘This is the way it’s going to be,’ and that’s the end of it, right? He’s the boss and…he’s a great leader, fantastic leader. In Europe and around the world, they respect him.”
“Donald Trump “will not give a penny” to Ukraine if he is re-elected US president, the far-right Hungarian prime minister, Viktor Orbán, said after a controversial meeting with Trump in Florida.
“He will not give a penny in the Ukraine-Russia war,” Orbán told state media in Hungary on Sunday. “Therefore, the war will end, because it is obvious that Ukraine can not stand on its own feet.””

Which leads me to a movie analogy. Since we just finished up the Oscars that saw nuclear doom and gloom trounce pink positivity (a sign from the universe any one?) I’m reminded of the finale of High Plains Drifter.
A stranger wanders into a town. The town turns to him to save them from outside forces. (Men on horses with guns looking for trouble.) And he lets them believe he will. But he’s really just there to exact revenge for past actions against him.
He sets the scene. He creates a false united front. And they wait. With a giant banner across the street reading ‘Welcome home boys.’
When the threat hits the town, he fades away the way he came, leaving the town folks to their karmic justice. But not before writing a big red HELL across ‘Welcome to’ town sign on the outskirts.
Good one.
Lesson from the story? Be careful how you make your bed. Because you absolutely will end up lying in it.
