Introduce legislation, co-sponsor, and publicly support school board candidates required party affiliation to be made publicly available prior to early voting and included on voting ballots.
According to BALLOTPEDIA, "State laws of five states provide for school board elections with party labels identifying the affiliation of candidates listed on the ballot ".
An article published by PBS News titled, "Why school board elections are garnering national attention"(Nov 8, 2023), mentions, " School board elections have become a new battleground in American politics, with typically non-partisan races becoming increasingly polarized".
I've also read in the news, 'Legislation requiring school board candidates' party affiliation on ballots has been introduced in several states, with Indiana being the most recent to allow this change starting in 2026. This move aims to increase transparency and help voters make informed decisions about candidates' political alignments.'
I feel it would be prudent and wise to open discussions about potential changes to this system.
