I am writing to demand immediate action regarding the catastrophic failure of air travel safety under the current administration. Since January 20, 2025, 87 lives have been lost in multiple plane crashes across the U.S. after 16 years without a single commercial aviation fatality—a devastating and avoidable loss. Meanwhile, the FAA and TSA are being gutted, and air traffic controllers are being fired en masse under the reckless and dangerous leadership of Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
This is not just incompetence—it is criminal negligence. The administration’s reckless dismantling of aviation safety protocols is costing American lives. The FAA and TSA exist to protect the public, yet their workforce is being systematically purged, endangering every passenger who boards a flight. This is a blatant disregard for human life, and it must not be allowed to continue.
I demand to know what actions you are taking to stop this crisis. Congress must:
• Hold immediate hearings to investigate those responsible for these fatal failures.
• Issue criminal referrals for Elon Musk, whose reckless interference is jeopardizing national security.
• Initiate impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump for his role in this deliberate sabotage of aviation safety.
• Introduce and pass legislation to protect FAA and TSA employees from politically motivated firings and ensure critical safety standards remain intact.
This is a constitutional crisis—not just a policy dispute. Lives are on the line, and the longer Congress delays action, the more blood will be on its hands. As my elected representative, I expect you to act immediately to halt this destructionand hold those responsible accountable.
