Israel’s assault on Palestinian civilians in Gaza is an unacceptable use of military aggression and must be stopped immediately. I strongly support an arms embargo on Israel to force them to cease their onslaught, which directly violates international law.
We have seen Israel avoid multiple ceasefire proposals that were agreed to by Hamas, including Biden’s proposal in May. By Israel’s own admission, they do not intend to cease their onslaught on Gaza or withdraw their military occupation. This directly sabotages the prospect of ending the massive destruction of civilian life and infrastructure and seeing a return of both Israeli and Palestinian hostages.
All elected officials need to do everything in their power to enforce the numerous U.S. and international laws that prohibit providing weapons to perpetrators of war crimes. We need an arms embargo on Israel now.
