The right to free speech is a bedrock principle that allows for the free exchange of ideas, no matter how controversial or unpopular. It protects all forms of expression, including those deemed offensive by some. The government does not have the right to arrest or deport people for exercising their free speech, as attempts to criminalize speech set a dangerous precedent that undermines open discourse essential to a free society.
