Criminalize wage theft. In the United States wage theft is not a crime. A worker who steals $100 is arrested, an employer who steals $100 in labor is not. In many instances they are rewarded, being only required to pay out half of what they owe. The underpaid workers only recourse is civil court. This is not justice. This is not protecting people. This is class warfare. Crime is constructed by those in power and what is criminalized is designed to benefit them. This is one of the clearest examples of this. The vulnerable are put in prison while those with wealth and power over them are rewarded it condoned. You are in a position to do something about it. Will you fight for justice or will you be replaced with someone who will?
