WHERE DOES THE GOP GO NEXT ON TRUMP/EPSTEIN ET AL?
2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
When a female Bloomberg reporter at a press gaggle aboard Air Force One November 14 asked the president if there was anything “incriminating” in the Epstein files, he pointed a finger in her face and said: “Quiet! Quiet, Piggy.”
So speaks an American president. And the leader of the Republican Party.
A leader who is dissolving before our very eyes.
The bully is finally being confronted. And he doesn’t much care for it.
We’re watching all the tried and true forms of intimidation he’s always used to great effect beginning to wear thin. Transparent propaganda is not working. Strong arming behind closed doors isn’t working. Public threats via social are not working. Even ALL CAPS rants aren’t working.
So he takes it out on a reporter doing her job.
But now, just in the nick of time, Trump has given the GOP Congress to release the Epstein files. Why the turnabout, time will tell.
The sad thing is that some of your members even needed this permission to do the right thing. Someone else had to make this no-brainer decision for them. And that is the opposite of leadership.
In any case, you are now granted leave to do your jobs. But we see that all the congressional machinations are only to force the release of the files. He could release them himself any time he wanted to.
Which means the great stall will begin. Or continue rather.
We the people have reminded the Trump administration that we hold the power. It’s time for the GOP Congress to do the same. Tell the bully you don’t need his permission to make sure pedophiles are held to account.
Remind him you work for us. Not him.
