Two things

First: the bill before the Senate that pretends it is a budget bill should not be passed. It takes too many things away from the lower and middle class in order to satisfy and further enrich the billionaire friends and family of the current president. It also removes the ability of the courts to hold the administration accountable severely and dangerously unbalancing the government in favor of the administration. There are too many things wrong with the bill to list. Which is why thousand page bills should never be constructed or considered. Second: the administration is exacerbating the situation in LA in ways that again unbalance state and federal rights. In federalizing the national guard the administration has made the situation worse while at the same time taking away their ability to help the state and local government. A federalized national guard regiment cannot arrest people or take part in the activities that might be necessary without the administration declaring an insurrection. That might be the goal of the administration and if it is, it shows a bias that should not be tolerated. When people were attacking Congress, breaking windows and looking to hurt you, this president stood by and did nothing. If he declares an insurrection now it will be yet another dangerous step toward dictatorship. Exercise the powers the constitution gives you and stop the administration from doing the unthinkable. Work for the people you represent. Not for the rich and dangerous people in the administration.
