“Make Elections Great Again” Act Makes Elections Fraudulent; Reject It Now!

I am writing to demand that you reject the SAVE Act, the so-called “Make Elections Great Again” Act, and any other legislation or administrative actions that suppress lawful voters. Only U.S. citizens may vote in federal elections. That requirement is already the law, enforced through sworn registration under penalty of perjury, existing verification systems, and criminal prosecution for fraud. There is no evidence of widespread non-citizen voting that justifies imposing new barriers on eligible citizens. These bills violate a core constitutional principle: in a free society, the government bears the burden of proving wrongdoing. Citizens are not required to prove innocence before exercising a fundamental right. Measures that predictably disenfranchise lawful voters—particularly seniors, low-income Americans, rural voters, disabled voters, and women whose names have changed—are not election integrity. They are voter suppression. The Constitution does not permit elected officials to restrict voting rights based on hypothetical abuses while ignoring real and foreseeable harm. Safeguarding democracy means protecting access to the ballot, not erecting obstacles to it. I expect you to oppose these bills publicly and unequivocally.
