Similar to yesterday's letter, something I never hear considered is the life of a child brought into the world via forced birth. As social beings, one of the most painful things a human can experience is being unwanted. The damage done to a person who was not loved or cared for by their parents. The pain experienced by children who discover they were adopted. The damage done by the fostercare system. All of this is well documented and to knowingly inflict that on another human is cruelty beyond measure. For this, and many other reasons, I am writing a letter a day to end forced birth with abortion access coded into law.
