Vote NO on H.R. 9495

I'm writing as a constituent to ask you to vote against H.R. 9495. The bill would give the incoming Trump administration unchecked power to threaten and shut down any dissenting nonprofit organization by declaring them a “terrorist supporting organization,” without having to provide any evidence or justification. Even if this wasn’t the intent of the bill, it would be used by Trump to silence dissent and further this authoritarian agenda. I expect you to stand up against authoritarianism - not rubber stamp it. With Trump about to be President, it’s outrageous to hand him even more power right now. I am deeply concerned that this bill could be used to target any non-profit organizations that Trump dislikes and I expect you to vote NO on H.R. 9495.
