It would eliminate critical pollution reduction programs, exposing communities to increased toxic air that causes asthma, cancer, and premature death. Shockingly, it would allow the selling off of millions of acres of public lands to polluting industries, damaging our natural heritage. The bill even establishes a pay-to-pollute system letting oil and gas companies sidestep environmental reviews and regulations. This unacceptable corporate giveaway jeopardizes American manufacturing jobs in the booming clean energy sector, ceding our leadership to China.
