The oil industry has reaped immense profits, and it is only fair that they collectively bear the financial responsibility for rehabilitating all impacted lands, rather than burdening future generations with this formidable challenge. Urgent action is needed to establish stringent cleanup requirements and funding mechanisms to safeguard our communities and ecosystems.
