I cannot tell you how concerned I am about the state of our democracy. I am hoping that you, as my elected representative, are truly looking at the neofascist and white supremacist elements of the Trumpist movement in the GOP.
I urge you to put pressure on Senator Manchin and the entire Congress to break the grip of Trumpism using whatever means you can.
To have Congresspeople afraid for their lives is literally insane. This comes, of course, from a deep distrust of the entire government that many feel on the left and the right.
This means that campaign finance reform is of the upmost importance. HR 1 would address this.
I beg of you to use all of your powers to tilt us in the correct direction at this crucial time.
If you do not do this, I and many others will likely leave this country. I cannot bear to live under a white supremacist and Christian theocracy.
Please know that this is precisely the intent of the Christian dominionist movement. It is horrifying and terrifying and the worst thing ever especially in the light of coming clmate collapse.
Please do not rest easy at this time. Grassroots activists helped win this last election. Do not let us down. Do not undo our work. I beg of you.
