Alligator Alcatraz,GOP Dachau, Trump Treblinka.The Party of Christian Values.

I drove down Krome Avenue and saw the sign for “Alligator Alcatraz ->,” and I almost had to pull over. What sick, twisted mind thought that was appropriate? Advertising a detention center for human beings,many of them fleeing violence or persecution, and you name it like a theme park for torture? This isn’t law enforcement. It’s performance art for sadists. “Alligator Alcatraz” is a billboard for dehumanization. It says: “We don’t see people here. We see animals. We see criminals. We see props for political theater.” You think it’s clever? It’s disgusting. And if you think GOP Dachau or Trump Treblinka sound worse why? Because they reveal the truth behind the branding? If that makes you uncomfortable, it should. Because cruelty has become the point. And this sign is your confession. To the so-called “pro-life” party, what part of this hellscape affirms life? Is this what Jesus would build? A prison named after predators, designed to break the will of the desperate and the poor? Don’t quote scripture while you mock the imprisoned and terrorize children in the name of nationalism. And while we’re at it, how much did that sign cost? How much taxpayer money was spent to feed MAGA’s need for cruelty, to stroke the ego of a man so unfit he needs applause and vengeance just to feel alive? You’re cutting food aid and health care while you fund fascist branding projects? Some of us still believe in justice. Some of us still follow Christ. The rest of you? You’re going to have a hard time explaining this one, whether it’s to Congress, to the courts, or to your Maker.
