An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Vote NO on the OBBB. There are sneaky provisions in the bill.

Vote NO on the OBBB. I read in the news recently that the worst tax cuts that will harm the working class, disabled, and the poorest Americans would not go into effect until after the next midterm and presidential elections. They are hoping to secure votes before the worst tax cuts go into effect. The no tax on tips or overtime provisions expire at the end of Trump’s term, while tax cuts for the rich and corporations are permanent. The bill is "not deficit neutral." The Republicans claim tax cut extensions [for the rich] are "free." How can any tax cut be "free"? Tax cuts [like tax credits] reduce taxes that would or could have otherwise been collected from those who could afford to pay a fair share (the rich and corporations). There are many more reasons to vote NO on the OBBB. Please urge your Republican colleagues to vote NO on the OBBB as well. Thank you.
