An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Stop wasteful government spending on golf

31 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

The repeated golfing trips by the president to his own private courses are placing an excessive financial burden on taxpayers. According to reports, Trump's golfing weekends have already cost over $18 million in just the first few months of his second term. This is an alarming trend considering the $151.5 million spent during his first term on these trips. While the presidency undoubtedly requires periods of rest and leisure, the exorbitant costs associated with the president's preference for golfing at his own properties raise ethical concerns over the potential enrichment of his private businesses using public funds. As elected representatives, it is imperative to ensure that taxpayer dollars are being utilized responsibly and transparently for the public good. I urge you to take appropriate measures to address this issue and ensure fiscal accountability in the executive branch's travel and recreational expenses.
