We All Need Health Insurance

I am your constituent and I want you to know something about health insurance and access to healthcare in America. In rural America about 300 hospitals are on the brink of closure because of the cuts in H.R.1. In rural America 60% of counties do not have ONE primary care provider. Not one. High deductible and short term emergency plans leave patients owing tens of thousands in unpaid expenses. Affordable Care Act policies will double or triple in price, and 25 million to 35 million have NO HEALTH INSURANCE AT ALL BECAUSE THEY CANNOT AFFORD IT. YOUR CONSTITUENTS ARE SUFFERING AND YOU CAN FIX IT. H.R. 3069, the vastly improved and carefully designed Medicare For All Act will save America $750 billion every year in wasted overhead and overpriced drugs, it will cover all of us, cradle to grave, and put no one in debt or bankruptcy. It even has provisions for expanding coverage and care in medical deserts and rural communities with localized management of the insurance trust and global budgets. We all deserve a healthcare system that works for all of us. Let me remind you that President Lincoln said “ The legitimate purpose of government is to provide for the community whatever needs to be done but cannot be done by individuals alone”. I call on you to stand up for your constituents and pass a Federal Healthcare Insurance Trust. Public Insurance Paying Private Providers, covering all of us. DO IT.
