Day 149 of a Letter a Day to End Forced Birth

The right to abortion was removed at a Federal level by the Supreme Court last week. This allows gerrymandered (ie, non-representative) state governments to mandate forced birth. The primary problem with this state of affairs is the questionable legitimacy of the current Supreme Court. - 3 Justices were nominated by a man who has acted in a seditious and treasonous manner towards our nation by organizing a coup - the majority of the Justices have lied, under oath, to Senators during confirmation in regards to their views on Roe v Wade - one of the sitting Justices is complicit in the previously mentioned coup against the Federal government - their first set of rulings have shown an dramatically inconsistent application of law - the respect for established case law, the foundation of law in this nation, is non-existent - written opinions have demonstrated racist themes and extremist religious beliefs This decision is not legitimate. This court is not legitimate. You are not bound to follow judicial review steeped in treason and religious extremism. If you choose to force Americans into pregnancy and birth on the basis of this ruling, you are participating in a sham. If you choose to back down in the face of this ruling, you are a coward. For this and many other reasons I am writing a letter a day until we end forced birth by writing abortion access into law.
