Reinstate Navajo Code Talkers' honorable legacy on military websites

The Department of Defense's decision to remove information about the heroic Navajo Code Talkers from its websites is deeply troubling. These brave individuals played a crucial role in securing Allied victories during World War II through their encrypted communications that proved unbreakable by the enemy. By erasing their accomplishments, the administration disrespects the sacrifices made by these Native American service members and diminishes their invaluable contributions to our nation's military history. We must recognize and honor the diverse groups that have defended our country, regardless of race or background. Prioritizing revisionism over accurately representing the remarkable acts of patriots from all communities sets a dangerous precedent. I urge you to call on the Pentagon to immediately reinstate the Navajo Code Talkers content and commit to preserving the stories of all who have honorably served, upholding principles of diversity, equity and inclusion within our armed forces. We cannot allow politically-motivated censorship to erase the legacies of American heroes.
