Access to Treasury Payment Systems

I would like to know why Musk and his cronies are trying to gain access to Treasury payment systems. The role of DOGE as presented to the public was to improve efficiency. Yet it appears that their true goal is to dismantle government bureaucracy by forcing employees to quit or be fired and forcing deregulation. They are not elected officials. They clearly have no interest in protecting U.S. Citizens. You, however, are elected officials. You took an oath to our constitution. You are expected to protect your constituents, not the President, not his henchmen, and not only the wealthy. I want Congress to investigate and stop this apparent coup.
