The American people are tired of an economy that rewards extreme wealth while punishing hard work.
Support the Working Americans’ Tax Cut Act (WATCA).
Millions of Americans are working full-time yet still cannot afford groceries, rent, healthcare, or childcare. Nearly 86% of Americans worry about the rising cost of food. When people cannot afford the basic cost of living, that is not a personal failure—it is a failure of public policy.
Meanwhile, millionaires and billionaires continue to benefit from a tax code filled with advantages unavailable to ordinary workers. That is neither fair nor economically sound.
The Constitution gives Congress the power to tax and spend for the general welfare. Taxing families before they can even afford life’s necessities does not serve the general welfare. It serves inequality.
The Working Americans’ Tax Cut Act would exempt federal income taxes on income needed to meet the basic cost of living while requiring those earning more than $1 million each year to pay a fairer share. It would provide meaningful tax relief to approximately 130 million Americans—money that will be spent in local communities, support small businesses, and strengthen our economy.
History has shown that democracies cannot remain strong when wealth and opportunity become concentrated in the hands of a privileged few. Extreme inequality erodes public trust, weakens our institutions, and threatens the very foundation of our Republic.
Congress must decide who it works for: the wealthiest Americans or the people who actually build this country every day.
Stop taxing survival. Put working Americans first. Support the Working Americans’ Tax Cut Act.
