Oppose Johnson’s Shutdown Fairness Act.

I strongly oppose Senator Johnson’s Shutdown Fairness Act. While I very much want our servicemembers to be paid, this bill is not the way to go about it. It gives way too much power to Russel Vought to disburse funds where he wants during the shutdown and cut off departments and services with which he disagrees. It’s a formula for partisan punitiveness. Congress needs to get back to negotiations to reopen the government on a bipartisan, bicameral basis. And we want those ACA premium tax credits extended!
