An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Vote NO on SAVE Act

30 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

Many women will no longer be allowed to vote if Trump’s Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act gets passed. It is up for vote in the next few weeks. The legislation would require your birth certificate name to match your legal name. If you changed your name at marriage, you must obtain an updated birth certificate or passport. If you can’t prove that you are a citizen, you are permanently removed from the list of eligible voters. This is not only unconstitutional (there are no such qualifications in the 19th amendment), it imposes an undue burden on female voters, which is also unconstitutional. Please vote against the act and please encourage your colleagues across the aisle to join you.
