Vote No: SAVE & MEGA Acts Suppress Eligible Voters

I am writing as your constituent to urge you to vote NO on the SAVE Act (H.R. 22), the SAVE America Act, and the Make Elections Great Again (MEGA) Act. These bills do not protect our elections — they undermine them. The core argument behind these bills is that noncitizen voting threatens American elections. The evidence says otherwise. Utah completed a full citizenship review of more than two million registered voters and found one confirmed noncitizen registration and zero instances of noncitizen voting. Federal data from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services shows noncitizens appear in only 0.04% of voter verification cases. Noncitizen voting is already a federal crime, carrying penalties of deportation, fines, and imprisonment. No evidence has ever shown it occurring at a scale that could affect any election's outcome. What these bills would actually do is block millions of eligible American citizens from voting. An estimated 21 million Americans lack ready access to the documents required. Roughly 69 million women whose married names differ from their birth certificates would face added hurdles. The burden falls hardest on rural voters, working families, young people, and communities of color — many of whom are lifelong citizens who simply lack a passport. Public confidence in elections is built through fairness and access — not through bureaucratic barriers that solve a problem that does not exist. Even Senator Lisa Murkowski, a Republican, has said this approach is "not how we build trust." Will you commit to opposing these bills and protecting every eligible American's right to vote?
