I am your constituent, and I am writing to demand immediate and decisive action to confront what I view as a dangerous abuse of presidential power by Donald Trump.
The President has repeatedly claimed he is committed to eliminating “waste and fraud,” yet his actions tell a very different story. In just this year, he has issued pardons to numerous individuals convicted of serious fraud offenses involving tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars. These include:
• Jason Galanis — over $200 million in fraud
• Joseph Schwartz — approximately $38 million
• Lawrence Duran — over $200 million billed in Medicare fraud
• Carlos Watson — roughly $60 million in investor fraud
• Trevor Milton — over $20 million in investor-related losses
• Todd and Julie Chrisley — approximately $30 million in bank fraud
• Devon Archer — roughly $60 million tied to a tribal bond scheme
• George Santos — fraud schemes ranging from tens of thousands to over $1 million
• Michele Fiore — approximately $70,000 in charity fraud
• Brian Kelsey — about $90,000 in campaign finance fraud
• Scott Jenkins — roughly $75,000 in bribery and fraud
• Paul Walczak — over $10 million in tax fraud
• Adriana Camberos — over $1 million in counterfeit and fraud activity
These are not minor offenses. These are large-scale financial crimes that harmed investors, taxpayers, patients, and the public trust. Pardoning individuals convicted of such offenses while claiming to fight fraud is not just hypocrisy—it is a signal that accountability no longer applies to the well-connected.
The Constitution grants the President the power to issue pardons, but it does not grant immunity from oversight or excuse Congress from its responsibility to act when that power is abused in ways that undermine the rule of law.
I am demanding that you:
1. Launch immediate congressional hearings into the pattern and intent behind these pardons.
2. Investigate whether these decisions were influenced by political loyalty, financial ties, or personal relationships.
3. Advance legislation to increase transparency and accountability in the presidential pardon process.
4. Publicly speak out against the normalization of excusing large-scale fraud at the highest levels of government.
If Congress fails to act, it sends a clear message: that justice in this country is optional for the powerful and nonexistent for everyone else.
This is not a partisan issue. It is a fundamental test of whether the United States remains a nation governed by laws or becomes one governed by unchecked power.
Make this stop before irreparable damage is done to the integrity of our government and the trust of the American people.
