An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Let Them ‘Fight for a While’ Is Not Foreign Policy: Stand w/Ukraine

21 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

President Trump’s comparison of the Russia-Ukraine war to “two young children fighting in a park” is deeply offensive and misguided. This analogy trivializes a brutal conflict that began with Russia's unprovoked invasion, causing significant destruction and loss of life. By suggesting it's better to let them “fight for a while,” the President diminishes the seriousness of the situation and conveys a troubling indifference to international aggression. Such rhetoric emboldens authoritarian regimes and undermines the United States’ credibility as a global leader committed to democracy and human rights. I urge you to denounce these statements and reaffirm the U.S. commitment to Ukraine. Our leaders must unite against tyranny and uphold our democratic principles.
