An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Don't Cut Medicaid To Fund Tax Breaks for the Wealthy

35 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

I am your constituent and I am appalled that Republicans are preparing to cut Medicaid to fund their tax cuts. The tax cuts are a gift to the wealthy by taking healthcare and other services away from the poor. Let me remind you that that there are 80 million people whose health depends on Medicaid and that states that expanded Medicaid have a healthier, more productive population than those 10 states that won’t expand it. The real answer is universal healthcare that covers all of us since it is better coverage at lower cost but until we get there I strongly urge you to not vote for any cuts to Medicaid this coming session. Thank you.
