Support Co-op Businesses

We need to expand the number of co-ops in California. They are more significantly more economically resilient with a longer life expectancy. They are better for the communities they exist in with higher income for workers and an investment in the community. They can be especially effective at empowering the marginalized. We need to increase incentives and tools available to the public and entrepreneurs for the creation and conversion to the co-op model. Increasing small businesses and improving their resiliency is a smart long term investment for the state. It means economic downtowns will have less impact. Higher wages means healthier happier people that don't need to rely welfare programs to subsidize their income. Higher wages also means a more reliable tax base for the state. Please research this further and help support co-op businesses in California.
