History will remember those who stood by silently as democracy was eroded.

I am writing to you as a concerned constituent who is watching history unfold with deep unease. As elected leaders make decisions that will define our nation’s future, I ask you to consider: What side of history will you be on when this chapter is written?
Will you be able to stand with pride, knowing that you upheld the values of democracy, truth, and justice? Or will you look back with regret, having enabled and applauded behaviors that undermine the very foundations of our republic?
I ask this because I see many of your colleagues—and perhaps even you—cheering on behaviors in President Donald Trump that should alarm anyone who values morality and ethical leadership. His well-documented narcissism—his grandiosity, his constant need for praise, his bullying of opponents, his disregard for truth, and his inability to accept responsibility—are traits that no leader should embody, let alone be celebrated for.
Beyond his domestic actions, Trump has alienated America’s long-standing allies—turning his back on NATO, undermining relationships with Canada, France, and the United Kingdom—while aligning himself with authoritarian figures in Russia and Germany. This reckless abandonment of diplomatic traditions has weakened our standing on the world stage, isolating us from our allies while emboldening those who seek to dismantle democratic values.
History will remember those who stood by silently as democracy was eroded by self-interest and deception. But more importantly, when you stand before God, will you be able to justify the decisions you made and the leaders you supported?
I urge you to reflect on these questions and to act not for political expediency but for the greater good of this nation and the moral principles you claim to uphold. I look forward to your response.
