An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Release the Names of Representatives Who Used Taxpayer Money to Settle Sexual Misconduct Claims

Rep. Thomas Massie shouldn't be standing alone on this. Every member of Congress needs to support full disclosure of the names of U.S. Representatives who used taxpayer dollars to settle sexual misconduct claims. This isn't a partisan issue — it's a basic question of whether the public gets to know how their money was spent. Taxpayers didn't agree to quietly fund hush money for members of Congress. These settlements were made with public funds, which means the public has every right to know who authorized them and why. The fact that this information has been buried this long is an embarrassment. Massie's discharge petition is a start, but it takes the whole body to act with integrity here. Show some courage. Vote to release every name, from both parties, with no exceptions. Anything less is a cover-up.
