Block the Saudi Nuclear Deal — It's a Dangerous Giveaway

Block the Saudi nuclear cooperation agreement. This deal hands Mohammed bin Salman — a man who ordered the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi — a pathway to nuclear infrastructure with virtually no guardrails. Unlike the 2009 US-UAE agreement, this one reportedly allows Saudi Arabia to enrich uranium on its own soil. MBS said in 2018 that if Iran gets nuclear weapons, Saudi Arabia should too. We just handed him the tools to make that happen.
The administration hasn't even released the full text of the agreement. There's no verified requirement for Saudi Arabia to recognize Israel, no clear enforcement mechanism, and no meaningful nonproliferation standard. Former Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman warned this could spark a nuclear arms race in the Middle East. Congressman Ro Khanna called it a giveaway that could destabilize the region. They're right. Dressing this up as an economic win for American companies doesn't change what it is: a dangerous deal with a dangerous government, negotiated in the dark. Demand the full agreement be released and use every tool available to block it.
