Please veto House Bill 557 which would allow midlevel healthcare providers (PAs and NPs) to prescribe schedule 2 drugs with 1 hour of related continuing education while Georgia physicians must take 8 hrs of related continuing education. Physicians have significantly more pharmaceutical education in medical school than midlevels yet midlevels need 1/8 the continuing education after graduating?? This makes no sense. These drugs can be deadly. Protect Georgians.
