Republicans at CPAC are openly vowing to 'take down democracy.' Yesterday while introducing a panel led by Steve Bannon, right-wing activist Jack Posobiec said, "Welcome to the end of democracy. We are here to overthrow it completely. We didn’t get all the way there on Jan. 6," to which Steve Bannon said "Amen," while the crowd cheered. Trump has previously asserted that he intends to behave like a dictator on day one, and has advocated for, quote, "termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution."
Does anyone doubt that Trump will claim victory following this November's election? He is already claiming it will be rigged, and he is already telling people at rallies they need to "fight like hell." All branches of military and law enforcement are rife with MAGA supporters, who will be very conflicted when Trump declares victory and stokes an uprising.
What is being done to prepare for this near certainty?
