Asylum seekers are being treated as pawns. U.S. support for Ukraine is wavering while dictators are emboldened. Meanwhile, sweeping tariffs threaten global cooperation and hurt American families, workers, and businesses alike. We are global citizens. Our leadership should reflect that—not isolate us. Congress must act now to: • Restore scientific and medical research funding. • Protect legal immigrants and treat asylum seekers humanely. • Stand firmly with democratic allies and oppose authoritarian regimes. • Reject damaging tariffs and foster global economic collaboration. • Safeguard education, disability rights, and human dignity. • Defend equality for all—regardless of nationality, gender, orientation, or belief.
