Amer Rabee Was a Child — How Many More Will You Help Israel Kill?

I am writing to express my profound outrage and sorrow over the recent killing of 14-year-old Amer Mohammad Saada Rabee, an American citizen from Saddle Brook, New Jersey, who was fatally shot by Israeli forces in the West Bank on April 6, 2025. At the time of his death, he was a young teenager with his entire life ahead of him. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claim that Amer and two other teenagers were throwing rocks at a highway with civilian vehicles — an allegation that does not and cannot justify the use of lethal force. This tragic incident is part of a disturbing pattern where Palestinian civilians, including children and U.S. citizens, are subjected to excessive force without accountability. Nobody — regardless of their age or nationality — should be gunned down by a military force. No family should have to bury their loved one under these circumstances. And no government claiming to uphold human rights should remain silent. I urge you to take the following actions immediately: • Publicly condemn the killing of Amer Rabee and call for an independent, U.S.-led investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. • Advocate for a reassessment of U.S. military aid to Israel, ensuring that our support does not contribute to human rights violations. • Demand accountability for the individuals and military units responsible for the death of Amer and the harm caused to the other teenagers. • Use your platform to promote policies that prioritize human rights and the protection of civilians, regardless of nationality or ethnicity. The United States must stand firm in upholding the values of justice and human dignity. The killing of Amer Rabee cannot be overlooked.
