Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
So shameful. Capitol police officers are being forced to come forward to explain to the American people how betrayed they feel by the GOP members they fought to protect on January 6. And succeeded.
Watching Sgt. Aquilino Gonell and officer Harry Dunn tell their stories, and seeing the anguish on their faces, is incredibly painful. They are not politicians. They are real people. Who did their jobs. And you are walking around, continuing your daily lives, because of their actions.
I’m not sure how you all can possibly look these officers in the face, hear their stories, and tell them that they are not worthy of figuring out what went wrong on that day. And how it can be avoided in the future.
They protected you. They did their job for you and our country. How dare you not do the same for them.
Back the Blue? What a joke you have made of that noble sentiment.
