Codify Net Neutrality and Internet Privacy Protections Into Law

Congress needs to pass comprehensive legislation codifying net neutrality and strong internet privacy protections — now. Relying on the FCC to maintain these rules has proven fragile; they've been gutted and reinstated depending on who holds power. A law that sticks is the only real fix. My private data is not a product. Right now, internet service providers and data brokers can collect, package, and sell my browsing habits, location, and personal information without my meaningful consent. That has to stop. Any legislation worth passing must include a clear prohibition on the sale of user data without explicit opt-in consent, and it must apply equally to ISPs and large platforms. Net neutrality and data privacy aren't separate fights — they're both about who controls the internet: the people who use it, or the corporations that profit from it. Vote yes on any bill that delivers both, and make sure it has real enforcement teeth, not just guidelines that the next administration can quietly shelve.
