WHEN WILL THE GOP CONGRESS STAND UP FOR THE PEOPLE?
19 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!
Millions of Americans peacefully protested in support of their country on Saturday.
In response the President of the United States posted an AI-generated of himself in a bomber, literally dropping sh*t on these same citizens.
He then reinforced that threat when he reminded Fox News host Maria Bartiromo: “Don’t forget I can use the Insurrection Act. Fifty percent of the presidents almost have used that. And that’s unquestioned power. I choose not to, I’d rather do this, but I’m met constantly by fake politicians, politicians that think that, that you know they it’s not like a part of the radical left movement to have safety. These cities have to be safe.”
The majority of Americans, including the GOP Congress, knows he is using fiction for invoking a statute designed for use in only the most serious of situations. There is no rampant crime that local law enforcement can’t handle as well without federal troops as they could with them. There’s certainly no rebellion.
Trump has no plans to use federal forces to enforce Americans’ civil rights. Instead, it’s the same theme we’ve seen since he took office: An effort to seize more and more power. To create a lopsided executive branch that can rule over the rest of government—and the American people.
Several administration videos and images have responded to Americans saying “No Kings” by taking the position “Yes, We Want Kings,” an open embrace of the end of democracy.
This doesn’t present as simply trolling. Led by Trump, MAGA Republicans have abandoned the idea of politics, i.e. the process of engaging in debate and negotiation to attract support and win power.
What is left when a system loses the give and take of politics is force. And that’s where the Trump administration and its supporters are. They realize we don’t want what they say we do. And there is no other option left in their minds but force. Against our citizens.
Do you support the image of a president dumping excrement on your constituents?
Do you support the federal government using extreme powers to attack the country it serves?
Do you support ideologies and methods of enforcement that are out of touch with the people? That are destroying the fabric of our democracy?
What more can we the people do to show you we need your help?
Or have you actually become as completely compliant and powerless as you appear?
I never would have believed the GOP would become the party of weakness. And betrayal of country.
Do something.
