Pass the Stock Act!!!

It is unethical for people in Congress to trade on the stock market. Congress has access to so much privileged information that it is the equivalent of insider trading. Put an end to it! Neither the Congress member nor their spouse should trade individual stocks (eg. they can put all of their assets into blind trusts once they take office and return to stock trading once their time in Public Service is done). The penalty for non-disclosure also needs to be significantly higher; $200 is laughable, $10,000 will be taken more seriously and show the public that congress takes ethics seriously.
