Every eviction is a richer person using the government to force a poorer person into homelessness in order to make a greater profit. Shelter is a basic human necessity, owning a house you don't live in is not. Nothing necessary for human survival should be sold for a profit. We have the ability to provide shelter to every person, but not if we allow people the horde shelter they don't need in order to scalp it to people who do need it. Our governments should not be helping richer people exploit poorer people's need for shelter. Shelter should be a legal human right, not just a moral right. It's time to stop helping the rich in their war against those poorer than them.
