Investigate Trump's many financial crimes and hold Wall Street accountable

Congress needs to demand a full investigation into the financial crimes laid out in Senator Ron Wyden's report "Looking the Other Way: How Wall Street Banks Enabled Jeffrey Epstein's Sex Trafficking." The report found that JPMorgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, and Bank of America violated anti-money laundering laws by sitting on more than $1.4 billion in suspicious transactions tied to Epstein for years, filing reports only after his 2019 arrest. That is not negligence. That is complicity. The connections here go beyond Epstein. Capital One just confirmed in a court filing that it closed roughly 385 of Trump's accounts for "anti-money laundering reasons" based on suspicious transaction patterns. Trump's own sons boasted about Russian funding when American banks wouldn't touch them. Trump's casino was repeatedly cited by the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network for inadequate money-laundering controls. Now Trump is selling Wall Street firms early access to his social media posts for up to $100,000 a month — what Kathleen Clark of Washington University School of Law called "brazen corruption." What do I want my Congress members to do? - 1. Support Wyden's measure requiring Treasury to hand over all Epstein-related suspicious activity reports to congressional committees. 2. Push the DOJ, Treasury, the Federal Reserve, and the Comptroller of the Currency to investigate and prosecute — individuals, not just institutions. The rule of law means nothing if it only applies to people who can't afford to buy their way around it.
