Oppose & Vote NO on Rudofsky for Eighth Circuit Federal Court

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you and your colleagues on the Senate Judiciary Committee to reject the nominations of Lee Rudofsky to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Like many Trump nominees, Rudofsky has failed to demonstrate a commitment to fairness, independence, and equal justice for all. Instead, he’s advanced ideologically driven far-right agendas that undermine racial justice, restrict access to reproductive care, weaken immigrant rights, and erode LGBTQ+ equality. It’s clear that his distaste for civil rights extends into his actions, with his beliefs that private plaintiffs cannot enforce Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. This would make bringing civil and voting rights cases difficult in federal court. His actions in damaging women’s healthcare are also well documented. He cannot rule fairly owing to his extremist leanings, and it’s unlikely he would follow the law, instead he’d urge the higher courts to parrot his same views. I urge that his nomination be rejected and for you to vote NO. Thank you.
