Play Hardball with your CR Votes

Democrats should not just give away their votes for a continuing resolution or budget when the issue comes up in a few weeks. Republicans control the government - it’s up to them whether a shutdown happens or not. If the Republicans need Democrats to save them from their own insanity, internal disagreements, competing demands, etc., then Democrats should extract maximum concessions from the GOP *and* Trump. They have to stop lawbreaking, kick out DOGE, restore shuttered agencies, and *not* cut Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, etc. It’s not the time to play nice, it’s the time to use all your leverage.
