Stop the deportations from the Bluebonnet facility in Texas!

We have learned that around 177 people detained at the Bluebonnet facility in Texas are scheduled to be removed 4/18/2024 to El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act. This includes people from around the country who are being coerced to sign forms they don’t understand. Many of these people don’t have removal orders. We are calling on you to: 1) Issue statements as soon as possible, before the flight takes off (possibly later this afternoon or tonight 4/18/2024) 2) Call acting ICE director Todd Lyons and then Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and insist they tell you who is on the flight and on what basis 3) Speak to the press and issue statements condemning these disappearances to torture, and the government’s refusal to respond to questions; and 4) Travel to the Bluebonnet facility and demand to gain access.
