An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives
Vote NO on the Senate reconciliation bill.
215 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!
The Senate just passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” by the slimmest of margins—with Vice President JD Vance casting the tie-breaking vote. Now the you must decide whether to rubber stamp this catastrophic piece of legislation or reject it and protect the people you were elected to serve.
I urge you in the strongest possible terms: Vote NO.
This bill is an economic disaster and codifies the fiscal irresponsibility that you have campaigned against for your entire career. Slashing $1.2 trillion from Medicaid and SNAP, will cause 17 million people nationwide and tens of thousands of people in your district to lose their health insurance. This devastate our rural hospitals, shutter labor and delivery units, and force pregnant women to drive hours for basic care, all while many more people go hungry. In short—it’s a death sentence for too many.
Meanwhile, the wealthiest Americans are handed $4.5 trillion in tax cuts. Billionaires will keep getting richer while 5.4 million families lose food assistance. This bill will explode the deficit by $3.3 trillion, while pretending to be “fiscally responsible.”
It guts programs that ensure clean air and water for your constituents that struggle for both. How many more spare the air days will we have in the next few years?
Worst of all, it brazenly attacks the judicial branch, making it harder for courts to stop illegal or unconstitutional actions by the federal government. That’s not conservative—it’s authoritarian. It’s up to you and the rest of Congress to uphold the constitution’s checks on executive authority.
Don’t let Trump and Mike Johnson drag this country backward. Don’t sacrifice your constituents for billionaire donors.
VOTE NO on the Senate reconciliation bill. Reject the cruelty. Protect your constituents.
